CAPTAINS NOTES OF THE DELIVERY OF YACHT ANDANDO, 40 FT CATAMARAN FROM TRINIDAD TO NEW ZEALAND
As you know by now according to the HOME PAGE postings of Marlene, we are busy sailing a brand new Maverick 400 (Andando) from Trinidad to New Zealand. Our voyage will be in a few legs namely :
Trinidad to Panama
Panama to Galapogos
Galapogos to Marquesas
Marquesas to Taihiti
Tahiti to Tonga
Tonga to New Zealand
It is about 8600 miles and will take us 65 days of constant sailing at an average speed of 5.5 knots per hour to reach our destination. We are pressed for time due to the fact that the syclone season is starting in the Pacific from mid November and Marquesas being the eastern boundary of the syclone area.
